Over the weekend, a friend confided in me that he and his wife were taking a job out of state this summer, and were going to need a real estate agent. Knowing of course, that this is my field, his next question surprised me, "So...should I just do a search on the internet?"
Really? Wait!
As real estate professionals, searching out the cream of the crop in other markets is something we do well! If I don't already have a good contact in the target area, I have a list of pointed questions that I like to get to the bottom of in a one-on-one interview with the potential agent before I can recommend them. PLEASE call us before just flipping a coin. It's a pretty important decision, in my opinion.
